Personal SWOT
Strengths:
- My advantage is that I usually complete the research after each workshop, and then finish the layout. I do not like to procrastinate, I always like to get my work done on time, and that is what I do better than anyone else.
- My tutors can see my strengths based on the research and layout I have completed, therefore, they can give me some suggestions for revision in time.
- My most proud of achievement is that in the digital classes of Term 2, I was very carefully in every class and learned a lot of new knowledges, such as build 3D model. Everything I learned was very helpful when I do the layout.
Weakness:
- The task that I always avoid that makes me not confident is PESTEL Analysis. Because it requires thinking from different perspectives and also need to combine with the brand background. The most important thing is to find the reliable sources to support the ideas.
- On the other hand, sometimes my thinking is too limited, and this is my weakness that my tutor can see. So she gave me the suggestion that I should think more comprehensively from multiple angles.
Opportunities:
- UAL’s library helped me a lot when I need to research and find some reliable references. I can go to the physical library at JPS or use the online library.
- Because I study in London, when I need to do a deeply research for a brand, it is more easy and convenient. Because there have the offline stores, and also the sales are always very passionate.
Threats:
- The competition among colleagues is fierce because everyone was really hard-working. Therefore, I need to pay more effort in order to get good grades.
- As I learned more about Fashion Business, the difficulty of out portfolio also increased. So the new job could be describes as a challenge for me.
5 Smart Objectives:
- I will use the UAL library more when I do research to get reliable sources.
- I will pay more attention on Vogue Business, WGSN, and so on to get more information about fashion.
- I will do more practice about analysis to get better on SWOT and PESTEL.
- I will analyze and think about the problem in a more in-depth and comprehensive way to make my thinking not too limited.
- I will make bolder attempt on visual and digital to make a better layout in the future.
